At the high-footfall corridor of Golf Course Road, Lucknow, Orion LED successfully delivered a next-generation outdoor LED display upgrade for Origins Advertising. Powered by the Rigel Series Outdoor P6.6 LED panels, this installation combines 8000 nits high brightness, optimized power efficiency, and precision-controlled viewing performance, making it ideal for pedestrian and roadside engagement.

This project also marks a continuation of a long-term partnership. The earlier LED screen at this site manufactured and installed by Orion LED in 2014 operated reliably for over 11 years. Impressed by its longevity and Orion’s service support, the client once again chose Orion LED for the upgrade.

The Client Need

Key Challenges

Pedestrian-Oriented Viewing Angle

The screen is installed parallel to the road, primarily targeting pedestrians and slow-moving traffic—making wide viewing angles unnecessary and inefficient.

Energy Efficiency Requirements

The client required a solution that could deliver very high luminance while keeping operational power costs low.

Structural Load & Installation Speed

Lightweight cabinets were critical to ensure ease of handling, faster installation, and reduced stress on the existing structure.

Custom Shader Design for Controlled Viewing

Viewing angles were intentionally reduced to match pedestrian movement. Custom shader design minimized light spill and wasted luminance. Achieved higher perceived brightness with significantly lower power consumption

Lightweight Cabinet Engineering

Each cabinet weighs approximately 24 kg. Total of 72 cabinets, arranged in a 12 × 6 matrix. Improved structural efficiency without compromising strength

Centralized CMS & Monitoring

Integrated with a centralized content management system. Remote scheduling, monitoring, and diagnostics enabled. Ensured operational ease and consistent uptime

The Result

The upgraded LED display now delivers brighter visuals, lower energy consumption, and precise audience targeting, perfectly suited for its pedestrian-focused environment on Golf Course Road.

More importantly, the project reinforces Orion LED’s reputation for long-term reliability and trust—with the previous screen running seamlessly for 11 years before replacement. The client’s decision to return to Orion LED highlights confidence in both product quality and lifecycle support.
